Brett Rosenstein is the Managing CPA of Build Accounting. With 15 years of experience in the accounting and startup industry, Brett is a highly skilled Certified Public Accountant dedicated to helping startups navigate the complexities of accounting and taxes. He also provides his expertise and value by serving as a fractional CFO for multiple of his clients.

Prior to starting Build Accounting, he worked for one of the largest public accounting firms in both Columbus and Chicago. Having the entrepreneur “bug”, Brett started Build Accounting in 2019 to provide accounting, tax, and advisory services specifically for startups. 

Brett quickly saw that startups weren’t being provided with a level of expertise or service they deserved. For this reason, Build Accounting focuses on providing Silicon Valley-level expertise to Ohio and Midwest startups. After sitting through hundreds of discovery calls hearing that the prospective client’s current accountant wasn’t proactive or responsive, Brett made it his mission to fixing this common complaint.

His passion for startups began in 2009. While attending The Ohio State University, he and a few college roommates started a custom-design clothing company that provided apparel for Ohio State departments, clubs, and organizations.

In his free time he enjoys running, biking, spending time with his wife and daughter, and trying new pizza places around Columbus. Between 2011 and 2013, he tried 100+ pizza places in the Columbus area. Schedule an introductory call to find out his favorite!
